My first waterfall card.

This is the front of the first waterfall card I have done. Woohoo. I think I am going to really like doing these. They are just plain fun. This one is for a baby shower but I am going to make Easter ones for the grands as I think they will like them a lot! I did all the cuts in MTC. It made this a super simple project.

I made the bow on a fork after watching this video at Operation Write Home. I made several bows with thinner ribbon and they definitely worked better but this really suited my needs for this card so decided to give it a go. What a fun thing!

Another sympathy card

This is so super simple but I really like the way it came out. I find sympathy cards hard to begin with but when they are for a man I really struggle. This just went together in seconds and I truly am pleased. Not only with the card but with the fact that I did not stress and just got it done! Wish I would approach other projects that way argh....

Shape card

There was the first Monday challenge at Make the cut files it was to make a shape card, anything that was not a square or rectangle. I made this super simple butterfly from a file that I got from Penny Duncan.I absolutely love this file and have used it often.
I started by welding 2 butterflies together in MTC for the card base. Then just layered papers.
The pink layer and the striped layer are both Martha Stewart papers.
cheapy blue glitter paper was the lacy layer.
I think it made a cheery card. I am going to send this out as an RAK to a cancer patient who is having a birthday.
Thank you for spending a moment with me.

Challenge layout

I took the double take Wednesday challenge at CWC The challenge was to use 2 colors card stock, 2 patterned papers and 2 embellishments. As I so often do cards for challenges (they just are quicker for me), I decided I WAS doing a layout. Though it is not my favorite I am sure it will grow on me, after all with such cute pictures of Skyler I just can't resist it. I am not sure why the photo has a dull look to it, the layout is actually brighter?
Striped paper is from KI Memories classic print paper pad

The checkered flags were found in the MTC gallery
I cut the title with MTC. I used a ritz cracker box as chipboard and after I got it cut decided that I like it as is and did not cover it.
The tracks on the background paper were courtesy of my hubbies remote control motorcycle and a black ink pad (shhhhh it is all clean and back in it's home)
Thank you for stopping by. As always I welcome your comments and critiques.

A feathered friend card

Robyn The Pink Stamper is on the cricut cruise this week. She has a challenge to make something with a feathered friend on it. She asked that we use her Tweetie Hoo Puns stamps, I do not have them yet so used one of her stamps from an earlier set. I decided to make a card with a flamingo in honor of the fact that Robyn is in the tropics. I bought this awesome rick rack at Hobby Lobby and have been dying to use it, don't you just love it! And I promise the photographer is crooked not the card!!
Thank you for taking the time to look at my card. Have a wonderful day!
