Creative Cutting Challenge

I am excited to finally enter one of the challenges here. I hardly ever do a layout or card that I do not cut something. I often do not submit an entry in the challenge because I feel it is just too simple. You need to check out what some of the ladies that enter this challenge create! Well, this challenge is anything goes so I am taking the plunge...... and it is not even a layout. I made my first ever explosion card. I learned a lot doing this one. First is the subtle colors in the card are hard to photograph well. After several attempts to capture it this is the best that I was able to get.....The second thing I learned is that I need one bigger embellie as  focal point to build from. Without further whining here it is......
The papers were all from a very old Martha Stewart stack  called Playful Blue. I have loved this one so much and I am sad to say that it is almost gone...
I used a free file from the MTC gallery for the box. I then added balloons from Miss Kates Cuttables
The stars and the scalloped circle were created and  cut using  MTC.
So, yes they are all very simple cut files but enjoyed putting it together none the less.

Like I said, I hardly do a project that i do not cut something..... I started working on a  tumbler for my secret sister yesterday to go with the card and realized I could also make one for a scrappy friend that I will be visiting on my trip to Florida. I have been trying to think of a little something for her and this fit the bill. I liked hers so much that I made a couple more for my Mom who just moved to Florida.
Again super simple. I love having the ability to import clip art and size it to my specific needs!! Hope she likes it!

Thank you for spending time with me.

Yep you guessed it.....

Another layout that showcases our precious Zade.I was lucky enough to get to spend the day with them yesterday so knew I had to do a layout with him center stage. I know he is the tiny one in the picture but.......This picture was taken on Saturday when Ben's grandparents met Zade for the first time. What a gift, to not only have four generations but to also have them all live close together.
I used the sketch 111 at  Sketchabilities.

I wanted it to be simple and masculine.

I had fun doing this one. I have never stamped so much on a layout. a lot of the messy is a stamp set from the Gorgeous Grunge by Stampin Up.... LOVE it. Family is from an older Lily Bee set. The arrow and the 2014 is another stampin up set Show and Tell... I recently changed the way I store my ink pads that really makes getting to my inks simpler for me and I am going for the stamps more and more often! Now if I could just work on the stamps.... I have tried several methods and so far nothing really works for me, I will keep trying.
The file cards are a free file in the MTC gallery. I also created Thames and cut the title using MTC and the arabic typesetter font.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing in my life today.
Many blessings.

A Mothers Love

This is the first time that Adrienne got to hold our precious Zade in the NICU. After two miscarriages and a rocky pregnancy what a moment this was. It deserved a beautiful backdrop. I do not get to use too much pink right now so took advantage and added a bit here.
I am entering several challenges with this layout. Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge for March is vintage, Scrap Our Stash the first challenge of their birthday scrap-a-thon is layering and the third challenge is Let's Get Sketchy March week 2 sketch.

Here is the sketch.....
Here is my layout......

Thank you for allowing me to share my life with you.
Hope today is filled to the brim with blessings.

Silly baby

Yet another baby layout..... alas you may get sick of them before I do........ These pictures were taken while Zade was still in the NICU but Mommy and Daddy could hold him. Ben would stroke his forehead and Zade would make silly faces. It was heartwarming to see Ben so happy.
So here is the sketch I used. It is the March week 1 challenge at Let's Get Sketchy.
I am also going  to use it for the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy.
And this is my take on the challenges combined.

Isn't he adorable!!!!!!!

The papers are all from Fancy Pants Happy go Lucky except the pooh paper it is EK success classic pooh (and so are the bees)
The other embellies are MME cut and paste.

Thank you for stopping by and seeing my newest blessing

Brothers

I have had a most chaotic couple of weeks. Adrienne was on bed rest trying to keep from going into labor so  had the boys a good bit for several weeks. Zade arrived on Sunday February 23rd he has had a short stay in the NICU so I still had the boys. After a long visit at Grandmas they are finally all together as a family. Our God is awesome. That being said I am chomping at the bit to scrap some baby pics. This is the first one.
I used a sketch number 70 at My Scraps and More Sketches but unfortunately things went a bit haywire and I did not get it linked in before the deadline. The good news I got a layout done!
Here is the sketch.I simply love it.

 And here is my take.
I am going to be able to submit it to a few challenges. First the Southern Girls Challenge to use a banner.
And also A Song in Your He(ART) Challenge to be inspired by the Johnny Reid song Time Flies. My journaling is directly from the lyrics.
The papers are MME Ohh La La.
The  embellishments are a combination of EKsuccess  classic Winnie the  Pooh and MME cut and paste
The title was cut using  MTC
The dots are  melted pony beads.
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in my great joy for a moment.
