Camp scrap assignment 4. Really pleased with the way this turned out. I have been wanting to finish this layout for months and was stumped. Glad to have it done!! Now off to put together assignment 3. I have got to figure out a better way to photograph 12x12 pages. This one really is not crooked.......

I took a break from camp scrap to make a few cards. I am pleased with this quick birthday card I made. You guessed it the birthday is July 4th. I am hoping that I can finish up camp swap for the week today. My days off this week are certainly not shaping up the way I thought they would. Chant "I must be fkexible, I must be flexible"

This is for the first days assignment at camp scrap. I have never done a page from a sketch. I have always played with pictures to make them look good. I love this layout but am very unhappy with the photos. They are not good in the first place, but really get lost in my layout. So a lesson is learned the first day out....Do not loose focus of the fact that your pictures should be the focal point. I am excited to learn alot taking this course. Not sure if I will post this there or not as I am just so not wanting to share it.

My very first card swap
This is practice for the card I am thinking I will make for this swap. The "rules" were at least 2 pieces of cardstock and one embellishment. You must use MTC. The butterfly was cut with MTC it is one of Penny Duncans designs. You can find it at pennyduncancreations.blogspot.com.I used Amy Chomas' gel pen holder for the caption. I am really nervous that this card is not going to be "enough" for this swap. There are so many talented folks out there!! I just do not want anyone to be dissappointed in the card they get.

Camping trip
Wow, camping sure has changed! Having electricity in each campsite is awesome. We went to Lake Martin with friends and had a dorm sized fridge, a drip coffee pot and an electric griddle. All the comforts of home and a screen window that overlooked the lake. These were the first pictures I took with my new camera. I am not happy with the pictures but had make a layout to remember the good time. I cut the bottles on MTC and made them into epoxy stickers. They help to hide the journaling behind the cooler
.
We were able to see a woodpecker nest from the water, while we were swimming, that was truly a treat. And yes the squirrel did eat all the chocolate chip cookies, and geese really like bacon!
