Our Sweet Miracle

These pictures were taken on Zades one month birthday....his actual due date. He is doing so well and I simply can not imagine life without him. We are so very blessed.
This layout is for the Scrappy Friends Challenge.I have looked here several times but this is my first time actually doing the challenges!  I combined all three challenges in the one layout.
The sketch.....

The tic tac toe challenge .....

The word challenge......

My take.....
This is an old stack by Martha Stewart called playful blue.... I really love the colors in the papers and am sad to say it is almost all gone......  The gorgeous yellow ribbon is from May Arts, the twine is stampin up. Also added a small blue vellum triangle from studio calico. I used the word adventure in the pooh quote.
Now I am off to try and figure out how to enter the challenges...lol.
Thank you for visiting.
I hope your day is overflowing with blessings.

Yet Another

Checked emails and a friend had used  sketch # 74 from My Scraps and More Sketches for a travel layout. Immediately wanted to do the same.... yep copy cat..... But when I checked deadline to enter challenge was in 12 hours..... nope still have not done what I was suppose to do today.... I am going for the procrastinators award........
  The sketch....
And here is my quick take on it..... This was from a summer road trip with Amanda. Love this picture of her.
Thanks again for visiting and now maybe I can push myself to get something done!
Have a truly wonderful day!

Fun Day

I am still trying to get myself back in the groove but really feeling frustrated in general lately and I KNOW that getting lost in creating will pull me out of it quickler.  Decided that everything else in life could take a back burner until I could get one layout done. LOL
This is going to be entered into 2 different challenges. Color Me Scrappy has this color scheme as the challenge #59.

And sketch #265 at Creative Scrappers was the design inspiration

And here is my layout......
Thank you for taking a minute to drop by I am off now to begin all the things that were beckoning me before I took the detour to the craft cave!

Creative Cutting Challenge

I am excited to finally enter one of the challenges here. I hardly ever do a layout or card that I do not cut something. I often do not submit an entry in the challenge because I feel it is just too simple. You need to check out what some of the ladies that enter this challenge create! Well, this challenge is anything goes so I am taking the plunge...... and it is not even a layout. I made my first ever explosion card. I learned a lot doing this one. First is the subtle colors in the card are hard to photograph well. After several attempts to capture it this is the best that I was able to get.....The second thing I learned is that I need one bigger embellie as  focal point to build from. Without further whining here it is......
The papers were all from a very old Martha Stewart stack  called Playful Blue. I have loved this one so much and I am sad to say that it is almost gone...
I used a free file from the MTC gallery for the box. I then added balloons from Miss Kates Cuttables
The stars and the scalloped circle were created and  cut using  MTC.
So, yes they are all very simple cut files but enjoyed putting it together none the less.

Like I said, I hardly do a project that i do not cut something..... I started working on a  tumbler for my secret sister yesterday to go with the card and realized I could also make one for a scrappy friend that I will be visiting on my trip to Florida. I have been trying to think of a little something for her and this fit the bill. I liked hers so much that I made a couple more for my Mom who just moved to Florida.
Again super simple. I love having the ability to import clip art and size it to my specific needs!! Hope she likes it!

Thank you for spending time with me.

ready set LEARN

I have had these pictures on my desk since the end of last year and decided today was the day! I used sketch #71 at My Scraps & More Sketches

The sketch

My take.....
The background papers are both from the Authentique Bliss collection.
The other papers are from a digital rockstar set that I purchased from lane may.
The guitar is Jolee's, the music notes are from a Recollections set,  the dots are my diy ones
Thank you for spending your time with me.
I truly appreciate you.

Yep you guessed it.....

Another layout that showcases our precious Zade.I was lucky enough to get to spend the day with them yesterday so knew I had to do a layout with him center stage. I know he is the tiny one in the picture but.......This picture was taken on Saturday when Ben's grandparents met Zade for the first time. What a gift, to not only have four generations but to also have them all live close together.
I used the sketch 111 at  Sketchabilities.

I wanted it to be simple and masculine.

I had fun doing this one. I have never stamped so much on a layout. a lot of the messy is a stamp set from the Gorgeous Grunge by Stampin Up.... LOVE it. Family is from an older Lily Bee set. The arrow and the 2014 is another stampin up set Show and Tell... I recently changed the way I store my ink pads that really makes getting to my inks simpler for me and I am going for the stamps more and more often! Now if I could just work on the stamps.... I have tried several methods and so far nothing really works for me, I will keep trying.
The file cards are a free file in the MTC gallery. I also created Thames and cut the title using MTC and the arabic typesetter font.
Thank you for stopping by and sharing in my life today.
Many blessings.
