Square1masterpiece...

This could be addicting!!! I received a few packs of the printable square1 a few weeks ago. Though I have plenty of projects in my head I just could not find the mojo....motivation....guts to use it. So decided tonight to start simply and had the best time. I am soooooo happy with the results can not wait to do another project!
I searched for free subway art for Fall and got this .
Then went through some of Adriennes pictures from last fall.
I copied them into Word sized them and printed them all on square1.
I had not gotten the edges attached very well when I took the pictures. (Had to run my fingers down the edges a few times) This is a repositional non vinyl product and it took a little more effort to attach than the vinyl I have worked with before. It really made it easy because you could move it around very easily to get it exactly where you want it. I really love the way the photos look on the product.
Can not wait to share more projects using this fun product!
These canvas are ones that came out of Michaels grab bags. So painted them and repurposed them. the ribbon is from the dollar tree. I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck! And Adrienne loved it!
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a truly blessed day!

I just might get it together one day......

I needed to do a birthday card for Adrienne quickly.....so last night I went to Mojo Monday to see the current sketch.... love it! Then to pretty Pink Posh for the 10 minute dash challenge for the colors. Picked out all my papers last night. But was struggling with the rose. This morning I got up and started working then remembered these flowers brown with a rose center SCORE! So I got the card done and even got pictures of the card and the timer yep got it done in under 10! Really happy with it. Went off for the day then came home to find out they closed the collection at Pretty Pink Posh.... and I love the new colors sooooo much more, figures doesn't it.LOL
So here it is the sketch
The color inspiration

The card.....
These papers are from the Summers End collection from Fancy Pants. I absolutely love them.
Thank you for spending a moment with me. Take another moment just  to enjoy today!

 Danni's (theowner/creator of FBW) birthday!
Today we have the friends of Danni fluttering along to
share some amazing creations to inspire you!!
You should have fluttered here from visiting  Denise ! If not--start at the beginning of the hop at the Flutter By Wednesday Blog.
Be sure to leave comments at each stop that you flutter to as there are some surprises hidden! You have until September 9th, 2013 at midnight CST to flutter along!
We hope that you’ll also join in this week’s challenge at Flutter By Wednesday which is anything goes with a butterfly or fairy! A little butterfly told us that if the challenge gets
over 100 entries there will be a prize!!

Here are my projects for today~~
I won these Little Yellow Bicycle cork butterflies not long ago and I knew that I wanted them on this page. This is a picture of Amanda in the first grade with her best friend Jessica. The papers are a combination of two My Minds Eye sets Oh LaLa and Abbey Road.
This is a second layout that  I wanted to include because I like the role of the butterfly. It is very different for me. It really did not take anytime to put together but do not ask me how long it was from the time I began it until I actually got it done GEEZ..... but it is done!

Please leave a comment to be in the running for my giveaway.
It is a combination of cards from 2  Becky Higgins Project Life sets 5th and Frolic and Vintage Travel it will be over 600 cards! I will choose a random winner on September 10th.
Good Luck!

Now you should hop on to visit  Rhonda ! Don’t forget to flutter to the FBW blog tomorrow for another hop full of more fluttery inspiration.

Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment.

10 min dash!

I am so very excited that I ran across the Pretty Pink Posh  blog again this morning. Somehow when I switched to bloglovin this one got lost. Not sure what happened but glad it is fixed now! I love the idea of creating a card in 10 minutes as I always get stuck when I need a card NOW! Participating in this challenge helps me develop some ideas and skills for those moments. (and they are way too many....) Earlier this week I did a card with a sketch from Seize the Sketch. I knew when I made that card that this would be a sketch that I would use again aad again.
So I had the beginning of a plan.... It is a very good thing that cleaning off a work space is not included in the 10 minutes. I decided on paper and the cupcake was already out from making Joeys card yesterday (see sometimes it pays not to clean up).
I did not own any washi tape when I did my last 10 minute dash... wow that makes a huge difference!!!
I am really happy with the way it came out. Simple but fun!
And I did this in under 8 minutes!! Yes I love washi tape! Thisis the time left!

Thank you Paulina for helping me develop needed skills as a cardmaker.
Thank you all for stopping by and I truly hope you will join in the 10 min dash!

No kitchen sink

Wow, there is a lot going on with this card! This started as a card for the 52 week challenge at Scrappin-n-chattin. This weeks challenge was a bingo challenge
                                    brad      button     pink
                                   green    lace        flower
                                    bling      white      ribbon
I needed a birthday card for a young man who is dear to me. So I decided that the best choice would be brad green bling. Ok so we have a start. I having a major loss of mojo going on went on a search for a sketch. Before I could get started searching this sketch popped up in my facebook feed, just had to use it!
It is this weeks challenge at Flutter by Wednesdays. Ok so now we have a formula and a sketch but I still need a butterfly or a fairy. So I used my butterfly embossing folder and for good measure a butterfly sticker. So there is a lot going on but I must say my friend Joey is not a CAS type guy so I think he will appreciate all the product stuck on the card!!
Happy birthday Joey!
Have a blessed day.

Make your own journaling tag

This is the current challenge at week-2-week. I thought that is an easy one for me as I have made my own journaling tags for all of my project life layouts so far, but...... just could not get this layout to come together at all. The more I worked with it the less I liked it. Yesterday, I looked at in awhile and then had a little chat with myself....... I decided that I would finish the layout today no matter if I fell in love with it or not. I had to go back to the reason I wanted to make this particular page. Neal just turned 4 and he absolutely loves to play with the digital camera. I let him go for it every so often. It was raining this day so it was interesting to see his perspective indoors. I think he has a good eye and always am amazed when I go back and look at his pictures (maybe he can teach Grandma!!)
I used almost exclusively BoBunny Mamarazzi papers and embellishments on this page.

I made the title card and the journal card in MTC.

I am also going to enter this into a monthly challenge at scrappin-n-chattin (a yahoo group).
The challenge was to use 1 camera, 2 circles, and 3 staples as embellishments. This is the first time I had even heard of using staples. I do not have any of those cool colored ones (yep I googled it) so I colored mine with my Bic Mark its, nope it does not bleed or rub off, who knew!
Thank you for taking a moment to share my life with my grandchildren. They bring me so much joy I hope that you have enjoyed them too!
Have a blessed fy!

A new card challenge (for me)

A friend in my yahoogroup scrappin-n-chattin shared the challenge site Seize the Sketch recently. It was not one I had visited before and I really love the current sketch.
I just thought it had so many great possibilities.  I think I will use this sketch often.
This is my CAS take on this sketch.

We recently were invited to the beach with friends who own a condo. This is the  card I made to thank them for their generosity!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to visit my blog.
Take a moment to count your blessings.
